Product Overview

The Aicok Juicer Wide Mouth Juice Extractor is a centrifugal type juicer which means it processes juice fast. The downside of this is that heat and oxidation are introduced into the juice. Heat degrades some of the nutrients and oxidation decreases shelf life, you have to drink the juice as soon as possible after making it. Also, some centrifugal juicers are less efficient. More juice is left in the pulp than with other types of juicers such as slow masticating types.

The good news is that, according to the manufacturer, the Aicok Juicer Wide Mouth Juice Extractor extracts more juice (20% according to Amazon) and 30% more vitamins and minerals (according to Amazon). Unfortunately, they don’t say what it is compared to.

If you are not getting enough fruit and vegetable nutrient goodness into your diet, juicing is a great way to start. There are pros and cons to juicing, however. Read my article “How Is Juicing Healthy?” to learn more.

The Aicok Juicer Wide Mouth Juice Extractor has a 3″ (75 mm) wide feet chute which makes preparation much easier and less time-consuming than other juicers. You don’t have to spend a lot of time cutting fruits and vegetables into small pieces in order to feed the machine. However, if you have time, it is recommended to cut whole foods into smaller chunks for even better efficiency and quicker processing.

One confusing specification is the power rating. It is advertised on Amazon as 1000 watts, but the product description and packaging state 800 watts. For this review, I’m going to stick with 800 watts.

  1. The aicok wide mouth juicer is awesome. I thouroughly watched the video and the speed it juiced those vegetables totally blown my mind. It literally “vanished” the moment she pressed down the juicer stick. I was surprised that you can get so much juice out of those dry looking vegetables. It goes to show that vegetables naturally have a lot of water content in them. I already thought of a way to reuse the pulp. I can add it to a stew, or simply make it a part of a burger. What do you think? Does my recommendation sound delicious?

    1. Hi Win,

Thanks for visiting my site and leaving your comment and questions. The Aicok Wide Mouth Juicer is indeed a fast and efficient juicer.

Don’t throw away that pulp. There is still lots of good nutrition left in the pulp, especially much needed fiber. I like using it in soups, broths, trail mix, and muffins. Stews and burgers are also great ideas. Read my blog post Is Homemade Juice Good For You? for more information on homemade juice and the leftover pulp.

  2. Excellent article on the widemouth juicer. I appreciate that you gave both pros and cons of using this style of juicer. It seems like the masticating type might do a better job although it takes longer, is this correct? I will review your article again to help me decide which type would work best for me.

    1. Hi Dave,

Thanks for visiting my site and leaving your comments and questions. In general, masticating type juicers are often called “slow” because the gears rotate slower than the rapidly spinning blades of centrifugal types. However, they are more efficient, ie. there is less liquid left in the pulp, and they are healthier. Masticating juicers do not heat up nor oxidize the juice thus preserving freshness, nutrients, vitamins, and enzymes.

There is one exception to the “slow” rule, the Hurom H-AE Slow Juicer. This amazing juicer, in spite of its name, is as fast at making juice as some high-speed centrifugal blenders. It is expensive but if you want your juice to be both healthy as well as fast, then the Hurom H-AE is the juice you want.
