I had this version in a 4.5 quart and it just never seemed big enough. I am absolutely in love with this larger size because I no longer have to worry if I’ll have enough room for all ingredients.

We have a family of 8. I have used a LOT of crockpots over the years. For the price, this one is the best hands down. No bells and whistles just a solid well-made pot. It does cook on the hot side, but I like that.

A great no-frills slow cooker that I’ve used for a year and a half now. Maybe I’m old school, but I prefer the simple style without all the additional settings or timers.
Does everything as advertised; my only complaint is that the stainless steel type finish does not wipe clean easily, and even scrubbing sometimes doesn’t do the trick. I think wiping it down regularly has dulled the finish also…it never gets as clean and unblemished/shiny as it did when it was new. Seems quite a bit more gray and dingy than silver and shiny…obviously it’s a cheap imitation finish of some sort. The black lettering also smears and rubs off as well, especially if the unit is still at all warm to the touch. Mind you, I’m just using a regular non-scrub sponge when this happens. I store mine in a cabinet when not in use, but if I had to leave it out on the counter it would be a bigger issue and would drive me crazy as an eyesore.
Still, it’s functional as advertised, just might not hold up cosmetically with regular or long-term use if that’s important to you.

The outside of this crock pot gets way too hot!! We have only used this on low and can’t imagine how hot it would get on high! Just trying to slide the pot to the back of the counter and burned my hand. In my opinion the outside should not get nearly that hot!!!
